Cravings

I am a single female in my 20s but every few months or so, - .- I crave sex so badly. No I didn't try it with anyone before, because I feel if I go at it randomly I'll never be able to forgive myself. The quick way always looks easy but I know the consequences of it so it's not wise. At the same time I sort of suck at the whole dating dealy. I want to be able to do this the right way without resorting to quick solutions like online chats, and so on and so forth. The only horrible thing about it is I want to avoid everyone in this state, friends, family, outings. And I can't seem to take my mind off it. I look at it like some sort of addiction rather than craving but sometimes I just can't help it. Advice?

You haven't tried it before and yet you think it is an addiction?

I am confused there.

A compulsion is something which drives the mind towards something,an addiction is something which once experienced, one feels the need to keep repeating over and over, making a pattern of addiction.

So which is it for you? A compulsion or an addiction?

There seems to be an underlying shame base to your wording as well.Your want to be far from anyone who might know you if you do this. Why would that be?Sexual health isn't something to be shameful of.A healthy libido isn't a bad thing as long as one is responsible for their actions, doesn't do it for other reasons.. IE:to get back at an old lover,revenge.etc.

I used to be even more ashamed of it, and couldn't look into people's faces. Today it's still the case. I don't like going to friends' places like this.
I used to still go out in public because I had to, like for classes and the such. The only thing that curbed it is regular exercise. Without it I am pretty much doomed

Well our cultures shun people like myself. That and the way the media is set up today it's hide to avoid falling into the wrong methods of dealing with this. You can easily get addicted and that's what I am trying to avoid.

This seems more of a self-esteem issue than a sexual issue(they do run hand in hand).

Being that you say you have never had sex you are holding back for what reason?

If you don't attempt to have relations with others(avoiding friends, etc),how can you develop any skills required for a healthy lifestyle?

In all truth,I think you are thinking too much.

Do you think others aren't having sexual relations?

I don't know what 'state' you are in,your English is good so I am going to think you are in some English speaking country. With societal and cultural stigmas close to mine(USA)

People have sex.Plain and simple. It isn't a bad thing to have sex.

Responsible people and those not so responsible have sex.

Why are you different from all those people? What makes you so unique that you hold back?
