My daughter has been projectile vomiting now with every feeding. For the first 3 weeks after birth she ate with no problems. It first started by vomiting after random feedings then progressively has gotten worse. I have mentioned this to her doctor and since my oldest and myself both have IBS and GERD he brushed it off and said to change around formula put rice in her formula to thicken it up and just keep doing what Im doing since I had already known what to do. Well I've done everything I can do and the doctor has no more suggestions for me and its getting progressively worse. It has gotten more and more frequent to the point that the last week and a half she is vomiting with every feeding and so forcefully that is coming out of her nose where she stops breathing and I have to feed her with the suction bulb handy so when the bottle is done I turn her to projectile vomit and get ready to suction immediately followed by blowing in her face to catch her breath I mean this is ridiculous and no one has answers for me. She has been getting dehydrated obviously from lack of fluids and vomiting constantly so for all of today I have just been nursing pedialyte to her and just working on rehydrating her. Since I have no one giving me suggestions I have been researching different things and the only thing that sounds identical to what I am dealing with is Pyloric Stenosis. And come to find it my nephew, my sisters son had surgery for this and it started same age and had same symptoms. I just need some suggestions. Doctors are just brushing this off and it is leaving me so frustrated. Being a parent, a mother especially, you know when something is not right with your child. I have a child with IBS and GERD along with having it myself. I have dealt with an infant with the reflux and this is not it. I thought it was in the beginning but this projectile vomiting is extremely forceful and it is constant. It is so forceful, like I had said previously, that you can hear gurgling and feel her getting ready and it shoots out of her mouth and comes out of her nose and I have to suction immediately after because she stops breathing most of the time. She is constantly vomiting and has very few stools if any and has now become dehydrated and I had to slow her feeding and just keep pedialyte going. I know something is wrong and no one is validating my concern. My nephew did have pyloric stenosis and has had the surgery and he started around the same age and presented all the same symptoms. I just need some suggestions and advice I can't see my baby go through this anymore. This is my 3rd child -having one that has IBS and GERD and one who suffered 4 1/2 months of intense colic. Ive seen stomach issues and treated them with babies and on top of dealing with them personally with myself. This is not normal there is something going on beyond a quick fix. Any and all comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated.
