When I was younger I had a bad addiction to crank and coke. I gave it up over 15 yrs ago but the damage was done. My teeth started to rot and break and fall out. Now I can't find a job because my teeth are so bad. So I figured I would find out a way to raise money so I can finally get them fixed. But I don't know if it's legal, or how to start if it is legal. Any info would be helpful. Thank you. I also don't know if it's consided Fund-raising or Charity.

You need to be a not-for-profit corporation under IRS laws in order to conduct a fund raiser.

Are there no dental schools in your area? They often do this work free or for very little charge.

Thank you for your quick response JudyKayTee. Unfortunately it's not just pulling and drilling, I was told I need oral surgery. The cost at the time ( about 10 yrs ago) was around $14,000 with dental insurance, twice that without. But I will look into the local dental schools. Thanks again.

It's certainly a suggestion - in my area the dental school has been literally a lifesaver for a lot of people who don't have insurance.

I can't imagine what it would cost otherwise - I had a root canal, it failed, I had another root canal, it failed, I went to an Orthodontist, he did a surgical correction, he put a crown on the tooth, it cracked within 3 years, I needed a replacement crown. The total cost was almost $6,000 - for one tooth.
