On hot days My A/C stops working. The only way to get it to work again is press the reset on the outdoor unit itself. I clean it weekly almost. All the fins are clean. And it still persists

Condenser fan motor may be wearing out causing it to slow down or stop when run for long amounts of time in the high heat. This would cause high pressure inturn tripping the reset switch, or it may be a fualty reset switch. It would be best to have a set of gages on the system when the switch trips, so you could see if the pressure is indeed to high, or the switch is just tripping for no reason. Im betting the pressure is getting to high, due to lack of airflow through condenser coil. Good luck and please let us know what you find.

Reset could be defective OR the unit is overcharged causing the reset to trip. Or you may think the fins are clean but they could still be dirty in between and deeper in the coil. The reason is you can see only the exterior and interior of the coils but not what is in between. Special coil cleaner tools can get everything clean but not a garden hose setup.
