We are renovating the bathroom and want to get rid of the bathtub and install a toilet instead. Does anyone know if this is possible using the existing plumbing from the bath and if it is... how? Or if you know of any good websites to help that would be great.

Thanks!

The waste line for the tub is not large enough for a toilet. Need 3'' or 4'' waste(don't know code for your area) to main.

One of plumbing experts will be along to help more.

Good day Karina,
Greetings from Florida.

We are renovating the bathroom and want to get rid of the bathtub and install a toilet instead.
Sorry! Plumbing just doesn't work that way.
Creahands nailed it! Bathtub drainage runs 1 1/2 to 2" while the pipes fro a toilet will run 3 to 4". If you wish to present us with a set of plans and specifications we can lay out your bathroom for you but since this is a major remodel job if you haven't the experience or the tools I would get three estimates and go with the one that you're most comfortable with.
Good luck, Tom
