how do you multiply fractions? Like 1/2x3/4 and I need answers on how to divide them, add them, and subtract them. Thank you and please explain.

\frac12 \times \frac34
In multiplication, you multiply the numerators and the denominators:
\frac12 \times \frac34 = \frac{1 \times 3}{2\times 4}
If you want to divide, then you need to reverse the second fraction:
\frac12 \div \frac34 = \frac12 \times \frac43
Then, you proceed with multiplication.
In addition:
\frac12 + \frac34
The usual way around is to find the lowest common multiple of the denominators. In this case, the LCM of 2 and 4 is 4. Then, you change the fractions so that they are on the same denominator.
\frac12 = \frac24
\frac12 + \frac34 = \frac24 + \frac34
Once the denominators are the same, you perform the calculation with the numerators, that is:
\frac24 + \frac34 = \frac{2+3}{4}
Subtraction is similar. You only change the sign, like this:
\frac12 - \frac34 = \frac24 - \frac34 =\frac{2-3}{4}
Can you post what you get? :)
