I purchased a painting at an estate sale. The tag on the painting from the people selling it said "friar reading". It is old, possibly antique. It is oil (I think) on canvas. It is framed but the paper backing has been removed. The only marking I can find is a signature by the artist which appears to be C Horst, or C Morst?? I can not find anything on this artist online and hoping someone here can direct me to more information.
