Hi I own a 2000 chevy Cavilier, I tried to start my car up but the key will not turn in the ignition. I tried turning my wheel side to side to unlock it but it still didn't move. I also tried using a spare key, hoping that would work, but still no movement, what should I do next?

Remove the key and try spraying the mechanism with WD-40. If that doesn't work, you may be facing a situation similar to what's described in the link below:

The specifics in the link were for a Honda, however.

Does this key work other locks.
Does the key look physically damaged?
My need to change the lock, A locksmith may have to pick the lock, remove and replace.
Auto stores sell just the cylinder.

And you tried pushing cylinder in while turning?
