Hi friends;
I have a Honda civic car model 2000-2001 with automatic gear system. I feel jerk when car changes the gear at desire speed. I used ZIC ATF oil for gear and the level is OK. How I adjust or fix it is there any adjustment to finish or reduce the jerk?
Thanking u iwill remain

Start the engine, and, with the car level, move the gear selector through each gear (PRNDL), pausing 5 seconds in each gear. Warm the car up to normal operating temperature, place car in (P)ark on a level surface, and check the dip stick with the engine running. Ensure fluid comes to the top of the “Full” line.

I'm unfamiliar with ZIC ATF. If it's a quality product and meets Honda's specifications for your transmission, then that's about all you can do. If the jerk was not there before you started using ZIC ATF, and it persists after following the procedure described above, then I would drain it out and use another brand; e.g. Mobil 1 Synthetic Multi-Vehicle ATF or Amsoil Universal Synthetic ATF. Have you regularly changed the ATF before now?

If there are no codes, and the transmission's fluid has been regularly changed before, there's not much else you can do. Hydraulic pressures govern when the transmission shifts, which can be affected by sludge and the ATF you use. If the transmission has not been adequately cared for in the past, look into cleaning it with Auto-RX. Otherwise, leave your present fluid in for a while and allow it to try and clean things up. If this does not solve the problem, the clutch packs my be worn and you need to have it rebuilt. It don't think it's as simple as a cable or electronic adjustment, by any means.

Try changing the fluid, but the clutch packs may be shot.

Yes, that would be typically what's wrong. Basically, you would be looking at rebuilding your present ATX or installing a remanufactured one, if changing the fluid doesn't do the trick.
