Steps to take after you have agreed on a price for house for sale by owner?

Hi, grannana3!

Have you hired an attorney yet?

If not, I would suggest getting an attorney who specializes in real estate so that your interests are protected through everything and to insure that things are done in a manner that is legally correct.

Hiring an attorney will be an extra cost, but having one to advise and look everything over can save a lot of headaches in the end!

Thanks!

A real estate contract needs to be done, to protect buyer and seller. A deposit is made to confirm it.

How are they paying ?

I mean I have sold a house in one day, we went to the bank, they had the money transferred into my account, and I signed a deed over.

So I guess is it a cash sale, is owner going to finance ? Is there a house inspection to be done that could stop the sale ?

As you can see, grannana3, there's already quite a few things about which an attorney would be able to advise you the best because of knowing the laws and procedures that need to be followed in the locale where the sale is taking place.

Thanks!
