I don't know why I let myself get like this again. I'm 5'7" tall and growing up was always thin. Around the age of 23 I started gaining weight and my max. weight was 205lbs. I was so unhappy and depressed at that weight and loss around 55lbs. I was so happy felt great about my body and swore I would never let myself get overweight like that again. Well here I sit at 190lbs I have gained 40lbs over the last three years and feel so depressed. I feel like this time I have tried everything and can't get the weight off and that I have failed myself after swearing I wouldn't let this happen.

Any tips on weight loss that might help I really want to feel like I did three years ago attractive and proud of my body.

You know what to do, you've done it before. It just feels like a lot more work the second time around.

One thing I'd suggest is to not think in terms of a diet, but a lifestyle. Concentrate on eating the very best quality food you can, in terms of nutritional return on your calories. The bulk of your food should be fresh whole food, things like eggs, oily fish, fresh meat and chicken, lots and lots and lots of green vegetables, some olive oil, some dairy, some fruit, some nuts, and a few wholegrains to fill the gaps.

Cut out the processed food and white carbs (sugar, bread, pasta, rice, cereals, potatoes).

Find an exercise you enjoy and pursue it with passion.

Learn to listen to your body. Eat when you are hungry, but only when you are hungry. Don't snack because the food is there (clear all the junk of the house or sooon or later you will eat it) or because you are bored.
