If you know the person's name and what county they were convicted in you can access this information via the Court Docket for whatever county. The records are public for all to see. If your county does not have an online web site you can call up the Clerk's office in that county and give the clerk the person's name. She can then look into the computer and read you the Final Disposition of the case. That paperwork will tell you if the person was put in jail for so many months and then onto probation for so many years. It will also tell if the person went straight to jail with no probation. It's iffy about the parole part being in the clerk's records. That's something you'll have to check with the local probation dept to see if the person is on parole. It's ALL public information.
