Ive lived in my small duplex now for about 3 months and the day we moved in we noticed that our bathroom does not have and electrical outlet. There was no problem with that so I didn't mention anything and have continued to "get ready" in my room. Im currently expecting a baby in less than a month 1/2 and have looked at my room to come to realize that I really don't find it ideal for me to get ready near her crib and changing table as I straighten my hair and things like that. Plus the fact that I don't want to bother her if she is trying to sleep/nap.

So, my question is, since I need and electrical outlet in my bathroom is my landlord required to place one in for me? Oh, cause I've asked and he says no he won't do it for me cause it will cost too much. Can he just say no and leave it at that?

I imagine he can. It is his house after all. This is a question for your local officials though. This is not an electric code thing.

I will say, there is something to be said for keeping your tenants happy. He is a cheapskate fool for telling you no.

He is not required to put you one, you accepted the rental without one.
