Hi ,
One of my senior has an laptop. He takes it home daily and changes the whole thing which is present in tcp/ip protocol so that he can access broadband . N when he returns the next day and connects the laptop for internet connection his MSoutlook he will be able to send and receive mails works but the internet won't work. In office you have different tcp/ip address . How is it possible .I think if the address and everything is changed the internet as well as oulook won't work but how come it is possible . Can anyone give me the reason for this twisting question ?

I have a laptop I use at home and at work. I have the TCP/IP settings set to automatically obtain an address. Whether I connect at home or the office, I have no problem with it connecting to the router and therefore the LAN.
