My brother and his girlfriend (Who works at the police station) Used my information when getting pulled over and got two tickets on my license... I had no knowledge of the tickets at ALL! Now out of the blue I'm just finding out that my license has been suspended since JANUARY of this year! It says in the system that I was not notified that my license was suspended as well.The tickets they got also went into collections and my stupid brother set up a payment plan and was paying down on the tickets he got under my name... How do I fix this? How do I get my license back? My job depends on me having my license in good standing and now I find out that my brother stole my identity. Will it take long for them to reinstate my license? Will my brother and his girlfriend be charged with fraud? Will I still have to pay for the tickets THEY got?

We are going today to the collections agency to get all the documents stating that it was my brother who contacted them and started a payment plan. It's deeper than it seems though because what my police friend is saying is that the girlfriend might have used some of her police friends to use my name... From the information we've gathered it seems like the paper trail leads back to the girlfriend and my dumb a@@ brother.

You do what you are doing - you get your proof, you go to the Police, you ask to have them both charged with identity fraud.

You need to file ID theft at the police for stealing your ID,

You need to file for an appeal on the driving tickets
And you need to inform the collections of the fraud after you report it to the police.
