I wondered if anybody knows of any Facebook app or setting where you can tag people on Facebook but without submitting a 'Friends Request'.

Reason being, I want to compile a list of persons I used to know at my old school and some of them I do not like but just want to be on a visible list.

Any ideas?

It's actually easier than you think. When you're in Facebook and you being tagging and click the photo, a search box comes up. If you type in the person you want to tag (ex: John Smith) and you have no friends named John Smith, you aren't able to select a person. However, if you simply just click tag anyway, it will create a tag of that person that doesn't link to anyone. When you hover over that person, it will just show the text of the person's name. It's a very valuable tool if you have a picture full of people you aren't friends with as someone who is a mutual friend of both of you might come by and tag that person for you.
