View Full Version : Ice maker is not calling for water. Water will dispense if V and T are jumpered.

I've replaced the icemaker on a Kenmore. The water will not dispense. However, I used a wire jumper from V and T on the front of ice marker and water did dispense, freeze, and dump. However, the water will not automatically dispense. So, I know the value is good, but it's not getting the signal to turn the water on. Any suggestions? Email response to [email protected] if possible.

Try jumping L and V. This should send the line voltage to the water valve. If you don't see water then you might have a water valve problem or a iced up water tube. If you get water then chances are you need a new icemaker. Just order the whole thing, don't worry about repairing it. It's a simple install.

Thanks for your response. I have jumped V and "T" before and did trigger the water dispenser, however, it will not refill on it's own. So, nothing is "clogged" or "blocked" This is also a new ice maker. I will try jumping "L and V".
