My daughter is going to be 9 in September. I pretty much raised her alone. Her farther and I parted ways when I found out I was pregnant, and he wasn't around for nothing. Him and his family didn't see my child until she was 7 months. He wasn't willing to help out or contribute, so after a few visits we hadn't seen or heard from him again till she was 4. When she was 5 he was ordered to pay child support, he did for almost a year , but ever since , he pays it when he wants to, which is like every 3 or 4 months. He's seen my daughter like 6 times in tha last 3 1/2 yrs, doesn't call her or show no apparent interest in her life. What are my rights, what can I do to get this inforced?

I know it is hard, but separate your feelings about his behaviour towards you and your daughter and his failure to obey the court order to pay support.

Your options are: 1) get an attorney and file for failure to pay support, 2) if you are on public assistance, go to the dept of revenue and they have a significant amount of power to force him to pay (while at the same time paying you), 3) you may have other options including making an agreement with him to terminate his parental rights and his not being required to pay support...

It depends on what you want and the jurisdiction in which you live/ the court decree was made.
