Can tennesse violate me for leaving the state on misdemeanor probation? I moved to Alabama 2 weeks ago. I'm going back to tennesse to go to my appointment on the 22nd can they violate me if I tell them I've been in Alabama?

If its stated in your probation that your not to leave the state or leave without prior notification then yes your in violation of parole.

Thanks.. I don't think that it was stated that I couldn't.. so I should be OK... I hope anyway..

It wasn't STATED. It was WRITTEN. If you have your court papers, READ THEM.

Definitely take the time and READ just what you agreed to when you were put onto probation. It's there in black and white that you are not to leave the state unless prior written permission is obtained. If you happily volunteer to your PO that you are no longer living in that state you will be automatically violated and then you WILL be subject to the original sentence for which you were put on probation for.
