Sir, just I want to know the source of drainage like odour in water, develop in mineral water filled in polyethylene terepthalate bottle. These bottles are blown and filled with mineral water by the supplier from their filling line. The drainage type of smell developed which is like hydrogen sulphide type of smell. Now the mystery is to find out the source of such smell is either from the contaminated water or migrated from plastic bottle to water. However the water has been anlaysed in the laboratrory all the parameters and ph, is OK and also there is no growth of any type of microorganism. Can you suggest me the source of smell is the water or plastic bottle? Thanks

It can be the plastic bottle. Do you know how and where the plastic bottle is manufactured? Have the bottles been exposed to a certain amount of heat for a long time?

If the water is good, but no more as good when taking it from the bottle, I can conclude that the bottle is the source of the problem.

Or, is the mineral water not good all the time? I mean, it could have been contaminated at first, then the later water obtained were better, thus the tests carried out gave not results for that part...
