UK age for jobs of this nature is AT LEAST 16 and more normally 18 due to health and safe regulations.

I don't know where you live but.. where I live (Canada) It is 12 to babysit, and 16 to work with animals. To babysit at 12 you need a babysitting course, and you usually only get hired by family friends. A great "job" to do at your age could be walking neighbourhood dogs (I'm pretty sure there is not an age limit for this), or ask your parents if you can babysit a dog or a cat for someone when they go on holidays.

As for babysitting, check your school. Schools around here have a before/after school program, students in grade 7/8 get to help run it with a few teacher's to supervise.

Good Luck!
