The power went out to the garage and I detached the door from the opener so I could open the door. When the power was back on I attached the door to the opener but now the beeping does not stop so I think somehow the door opener needs to probably be re programmed. I did not purchase the opener so I do not have the manual to check on how to re program. Can anyone one help?

I think the beep does not require reprograming which usually continues to stay in the memory of the unit even without power. Does the opener have a "doorbell button" in addition to a remote?

Yes the opener has a doorbell button in addition to a remote.

It could be a Learn button with LED's or DIP switches.
I would unplug Operator for maybe 10 seconds, then Plug back in. Can't hurt, and works when electronics get in the "Confused" state.
