How do you spend extended time on a vaction leading up to a destination wedding with your husband's x-wife when the step kids expect you to be part of a group with activities/ partying together despite being uncomfortable.

She's the ex. YOU are with him now. He loves YOU. They aren't together for all sorts of reasons. Be the classy lady you are and rise above this. There will be lots of other people there to interact with. And actually she might be a nice person. Show her (and everyone else) that YOU definitely are. If nothing else, as a special gift to the bride and groom, put on the Academy-Award-winning performance of your life. You can do it. He will love you even more for it.

You grin, smile and remind him that if issues come up you expect him to take your side.
But personally kids are out of line, it is the other parents marriage, the ex should not have to be there.

I think it's wonderful that everybody gets along.
If you are all stuck together until the wedding, may as well make the best of it. When life gets back to normal, your relationship with her will be all the stronger.
My advice is don't go looking for trouble where there is none.
