Hi the transformer in my ceiling light is no longer working it takes 12x10w bulbs, I have tried for over 3 months to fined a replacement,I have tried on and off the internet, the only place that have it is in china (hoibolong) but only take orders over 1000, the one that come with the light is sort of semi round, mod htv160c1, 50-160w, input 220-240vac, output 11-5vac, 50/60hz, max 160w, ta 50'c, tc 100 'c. I can get one similar, eaglerise, set 160ck but is only ta+50'c max, tc max +75'c, some people tell me it will be OK then others say no I am very confused and at my wits' end, I had to save up to buy the light it cost £120 only 10 months ago and I love it so much I don't won't to have to bin it. PLEASE can you help me. Gill x

I found this:

Low Voltage Lightech Halogen Lighting Transformers (http://www.halogentransformer.com/lightech-halogen-lighting-transformer.html)

Ta is Temperature(ambient)
Tc is Temperature(case)

100 C case temp would be a better unit, but I wouldn't want one operating at that temp anyway.

You MUST use thermal grease, but a thermal pad would be much better. e.g http://www.nteinc.com/specs/400to499/pdf/nte425.pdf

There are two here (uk): Paints & Coatings | Farnell United Kingdom (http://uk.farnell.com/jsp/search/browse.jsp?N=500006+1000416&Ntk=gensearch_001&Ntt=thermal+pad&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial)
