My husband and I poured a concrete shower pan with lightweight leveling mortar more that a week ago. We used a preslope and quick pitch kits. There is a rubber membrane and hardibacker underneath. We just noticed a hairline crack across 3 of the sections about a foot from the drain. We worked each section and packed them with our hands to be sure they were full. How serious is this and what can we do to fix it? We plan on coating it with Redgard.

Hi NinaS1:
Most likely, any cracks you see now will eventually grow larger and will eventually translate to the new tile and/or the grout joints you install! I know you'll hate to hear this, but I'd rip that mortar out and start all over again... UGH!
Foget the lightweight mortar... heck, I wouldn't even use a premix mortar. Either mix this yourself using sand and portland cement or go to a tile store and purchase some THICK FLOOR MUD. Laticrete makes this stuff... guaranteed not to crack if you use the admix they sell with it!

This is my opinion on this. Please wait to see what others onsite think... OK?
Any questions just let us know...

PS: How did you protect the WEEP HOLES in the drain assembly?
