Okay.. so here it goes.
There's this guy.. we'll call him Josh*. Josh had been dating this girl, Casey* for about a year and a half. Both of them are very good friends of mine. Since last year when I met Josh, I've fallen for him. More so now that they've broken up in the past couple weeks and this year during school because I see him more. He's my perfect guy.. he's very much into church, doesn't cuss, is funny, cute, athletic, smart, sweet, sensitive, wise.. just my perfect guy. But.. I know that even though they won't get back together anytime soon, he bought her a promise ring for christmas so they believe that down the road they'll be together again. And Casey, one of my very good friends as I have said, is mad because he is very jelous when it comes to her and other guys. Thta's one reason that they broke up... to get to the point.. I really like him, and we flirt all the time. He does all these little things that could be clues to him liking me. But I know he's still in love with Casey.. I don't know what to do. Should I go for it if he's interested, or what? Aah I'm just confused.. Please help!

Hey, why not? Go for him. . if your heart tells you to, and you too are flirting. Heck, it doesn't matter if he's going to give this ring or that to his ex-girl. The fact that he and CASEY broke up means he's free, right? And so what if she is your friend? It doesn't matter, anyhow, because she doesn't own him.  

And besides, once you show more and more you are really interested in him, take him as soon as you can. He's yours for the asking (and advancing, but do it quick.. hehee), before your window of opportunity vanishes.  So go for it and follow your first instincts, which is usually correct... best of wishes to you two lovebirds:)) ;D ;)

Both Josh & Casey are free to get involved with someone new as they have broken up. If you like Josh & think that he is the right guy for you, you should go for it. For all you know, you may be more compatible with Josh than Casey. But you wouldn't know until you try.
