I have an intertherm h/ac unit that is so loud(91dcbl) that I can't hear anything else and the intertherm dealer says I just have to live with it. It is still under warranty.Do I need a lawyer? I have heard others and they are quiet.

Tell the dealer to install a compressor blanket. That should help you out in the noise department. I you call a lawyer the dealer will not do anything until it is done in court. If you do need a lawyer you better get a second HVAC company to look and hear it since that is what the lawyer will want you to do first.

We have an Intertherm air conditioning unit in our home. We have lived here for 14 years. It was driving me nuts every time it came on, because you cannot hear anything but the unit running. We put a framed door in the hallway where the unit is to try and muffle the noise by closing the hallway off. Months later we had an air conditioning man come out because the unit stopped blowing cold air through the vents. He told us we cannot close the door we installed because the unit is working harder to circulate air through our house. We are still living with the really loud air conditioning unit. If yours is still under warranty they have to fix it.
