I recently went through a "rough path" in life. I always worry about those events happening again. I tell myself "if I worry about things then because I'm thinking of them they wont happen". I always have the what if or going through my head. Does this make sense?

Yes,its make perfect sense.

However its not very healthy thinking.

If you were knocked down on the street, would you constantly worry it would happen again,or would you be more careful?

The same goes for relationships, health issues, mental health issues or anything else life may throw at you,you learn from the experience, put safe guards in place and live your life.

Life happens,I'm afraid that lightening does strike twice with some people, often through misfortune,BUT,I have found people either get stronger and live happy fulfilled lives or they spend the rest of their lives worrying over something that may never happen again.

Worry is inaction.

The only way not to worry is to act on the thing that has you worried,if its health... make sure you have regular health checks, eat well and exercise, taking action will give you the upper hand on worry.

If its financial, put in place a savings plan, talk to the bank or credit union try and to come to an understanding.

If it was a relationship, cheating or breakup, what have you learned? Take your time getting to know someone and start no contact to heal any pain.

If it's a death, again act, keep a journal of the person, depending on your belief system pray. Grief is very personal and each person has to find their own way through.

If you find your thoughts are very out of control and the worrying is affecting your day to day living, perhaps talking to a councillor or cogitive therapist will help.

(cogitive means the way you think)

The only guarantee we all have in life is that we will die, that is a caste iron fact.

How you live your life is up to you.

Do you want to spend it worrying,or spend it happy?
