I want to know how to double check to see if a website is legitimate? I have checked with the Better Business Bureau already but I want some other form of checking the website just to make sure? Thanks

Just what are you looking for on Google. What kind of business that you want validated ? Your profile says you have a business degree so you should be pretty well experienced in dealing with validate websites. I don't know how the B BB could help you with this. It really isn't their expertise; that is on the web.

Having a degree in business doesn't automatically mean knowing how to validate a website. I have a degree in business and I didn't learn that in school. (I learned stuff from hanging around the internet and nothing to do with my work.) And yes the BBB can help if the website is a business, the business can be looked up. BBB is about the company itself, and not whether the company happens to run strictly from a website.
Now, that out of the way... I usually partially go by whether the website looks professional or not. That is, I stay away from anything that has too much "too good to be true" stuff, lots of CAPS, lots of colors, doesn't really tell me anything, etc. If it doesn't look like that, it doesn't mean it's OK - but if it does look like that, I shy away.
The other thing I do is just Google the company name and see what hits I get. There are other complaint sites out there, where individuals report problems or when they've been scammed, etc. ripoffreport.com is one but I can't remember any others, but generally if you do a Google search and there's anything reported, you'll find it.
It might also help if you told us what site you are referring to as someone may know something about it, or have an opinion on it.

Some Internet Security suites will let you know the risk factor for entering a site. This risk factor may be predicated on a variety of factors.
