I was born in Drs Hospital in Broward County Florida which is no longer there. I was adopted at birth under a closed adoption. I know very little about my birth parents, age, hair and eye color, some medical info and careers at the time. How can I find them??

If you say it was a closed adoption, then they never wanted to be found, ever. Plus the hospital is no longer there.

I know they don't want to be found but I don't have enough medical information and that could kill me if I'm not careful

What makes you think this? Do you have certain medical conditions now? If not, there is not sufficient evidence for records to be opened.

I know they dont want to be found but I dont have enough medical information and that could kill me if im not carefull Yes, that is possible, my son is in the same boat. His dad was adopted so no paternal medical information available on that side, of course, except his dad, but not enough. He is managing quite well though with a good cardio doctor. So you can manage too with a good doctor, so I hope you have one.

Tell us what the potential problem might be.

My husband and two of his siblings were adopted. So far so good and they are all over 40.

Closed adoptions are next to impossible to open without a life-threatening reason. "Life-threatening" means you MUST have someone with the same rare blood type, or need a close biological family member for a bone marrow or kidney transplant.

The promise made to birthmothers at the time of closed adoptions was that their identity would be protected.

There is a sticky at the top of the adoption forums. It gives good suggestions on how to conduct a search.
