I have joint legal custody of my daughter and some physical placement custody as well. My daugher's mother relocated to the state of Ohio and has temporary lost custody of my daughter as well as her other children. I've faxed over my court order as well as other legal documentsto DCFS and yet the state of Ohio has refused to honor my court order that was granted in the state of Wisconsin. They are saying that my custody order means nothing to them. I'm still paying child support and my daughter is in a foster home please help me I'm not really sure of how to go about this. I was thinking of filing a Federal TRO as well as a lawsuit since I'm dealing with two states. Also my daughter mother is NOT consider to be a legal ridsident in the state of Ohio according to the laws of Ohio because she has not live there for at least six months. She has only been there for 1 and a half months

Did you ask the Court that issued the Order to TRANSFER to case to Ohio because that is where your daughter is?

I don't understand what you mean by physical placement. Who is the custodial parent - you or the mother?

It sounds like a uneven split for custody the routine 80/20. Where the NCP gets weekends and the custodial parent gets the rest. What you may need to do is file in their courts and bring your paperwork with you. There is no reason for them to keep your child from you and they can not modify your end so blatantly. It would be a violation of federal laws.
