The levels for an chronic alcoholic is >1.ong/mg I wash my hair daily and use hair products which all contain alcohol I need an answer I'm losing my children because of this

First, countering the test will require retesting.

1) You must immediately notify the party that requested the test and the laboratory that performed the test that the results are in error. The laboratory should also be advised to properly store the remainder of your hair sample.

2) It will be necessary to arrange for an accredited laboratory to perform another similar test.

3) You must checkout the lab that performed this test for licensure, and certification.

Without further information it is fruitless to conjecture as to why this may have occurred.

One thing you should check with your attorney is the admissibility of a hair test in the courts of your state. While hair tests have a long and acceptable record in relation to drugs, not so with alcohol. The test has only been in use in the US since 2008 and the last I heard was not accepted in courts (in relation to alcohol). The science isn't there.

Time is a factor here in relation to alternative tests.
