My husband has just been called for a job interview out of state. Because of the market here in Nevada, we would have to short sale. Can the banks still go after our 401K, cars, etc. after a short sale due to move for a job? We are just trying to gather all information before we even have husband go for a job interview. Thanks!

You should contact the lender and ask if they will agree to a short sale.

If you do a actual short sale, no, the lender is accepting less as payment in full. A short sale is not a foreclosure.
