My daughter and son-in-law will be divorced end of this month. Custody of the twin granddaughters is up next. She and the 9-year-old girls want to be with their mama more than the 50/50 schedule the father and his mother are asking.Do NC judges listen and respect wishes of the children. Would their emotional and educational stability not be for their welfare? As the son-in-law resents that our daughter chose him leaving, rather than the ultimatum he gave her to move all far away from family, schools, and friends. Do we have visitation rights put in custody agreement? OKay in NC?

Not sure what you mean by " Do we have visitation rights put in custody agreement?"

That isn't something you're a party to at this time. If either parent wants to give up their time that's different but you have no rights to make demands at this time. Its between the parents only at this point.
