I have been reading the forum for hours but cannot find an answer to this question. I have a washing machine that is in front of a window. I want to remove the old standpipe that you can see through the window and put it in a box. I cannot achieve the desired 30" length do to the window, so I need to move it to the right. Can I put two one-sixth or one-eighth bends in the standpipe?

For optimal drainage, there really should not be any bends in the standpipe. But I have seen many times couple of 45 degree bends installed on washer's stand pipe and it worked just fine.

Thanks Milo. I put a pair of 60 degree bends to have a lesser impact and do the 6" shift. So far it is working fine.
