Consuming fewer calories than you need... and doing more exercise works every time.
There is no magic elixer or pill that will take it off and keep it off without adjusting your lifestyle choices and diet that contributed to the weight gain in the first place.
And this is from a person who is losing some weight himself.

Forget all and every diet pills/drinks.
Eat more fruits, eat more raw or cooked veggies, eat less junk and unhealthy stuff and EAT LESS IN GENERAL (portion control is very important).
Work out more often and more effectively and you'll be good to go.
Lifestyle change. If you can't make time to get healthy, you pretty much don't have time for anything else. Good health means good everything else; think about it.

No. It will not.
To amplify, Strength89:
1. Eat less.
2. Move around more, take the stairs, fidget as much as you like.
3. Don't eat ANY junk food, diet foods, or soft drinks.
4. Eat fruits and vegetables.
5. Drink water.
6. Have oatmeal for breakfast. It will fill you up.

I agree with all the posts. But here's a drink that helps move things along.
Drink to add to healthy eating:
Lemons-detox liver
Maple syrup-natural sweetner
Cyenne pepper or
Ginger-good for the digestive system
