I was given a 1 year continue without a finding for domestic assault & battery and another 1 year continue without a finding for another domestic assault & battery.I was put on probation for 1 year.I was told if I violate probation I can be sentenced to 2 1/2 years for each count totaling 5 years. What are the chances id get the 5 years? And if not what type of sentence would I be looking at?

Hello t:
It depends on what you do to violate probation. If you miss a phone call, they probably won't throw you in jail.. But, if you hit somebody again, you might. I don't know what a judge would do.

Normally ( but judges can do anything) will not run sentence end on end but run them together, so that would only be a sentence of 2 1/2 years. Then normally if you behave inside you will get a parole date from 1/2 to 3/4 of your sentence, So most likely prison for about 1 3/4 years till you parole out. But those are just what happens sometimes.
