Thank you for providing me this opportunity. When current is passed through water, we feel it when we touch the water. Once current is stopped, we are not feeling anything in the water. Since current contains electrons, what happen to all those electrons? What is the characteristic change in the water?

My answer isn't quite right for purists, but it will be close enough.
Pure water does not conduct electricity very well. Once we add a hand, we add salt. Taste your arm. It's will taste salty. Pure water is also tasteless and odorless.
It's the ions of the other substances that make the water conductive.
