My four year olds dad left us when she was 9months, I went through the whole pregnancy by myself he said it wasn't his. The day after I had her he came up to the hospital and said well she looks like me but I still don't want to claim her he left had the chance to sign the paper work and everything. Then when she was 4months old we went and did DNA required by DOR and he found out by 6.5months she was his then he wanted to make it work. Dumb move on my part I married him one week before child support court and the dismissed the case because we where married! Well needless to say he was up and gone by Monday (court was on Friday) A week later I got a call to bond him out of jail he wanted to make it work I told him no a girl came by to inform me sshe was pregnant with your baby you meet at the river. He said oh forget her we can make everything workout in the few months we were married I had to give my son to my grandmother for the fact he was mistreating him because he wasn't his and he hated his date (childhood enemies) and gave our little girl a black eye and beat me twice also druged me and turned me into detox, played that off by begging them to let me out! Well since 2007 I have met a man who my daughter believes is her father and started calling him that on her own since the age of one year. We got my son back and had another child of our own his first one and he's 37. He loves the children very much he has already adopted my son and now trying with our little girl after 3years of her bio dad not contacting us, defaulting the divorce even followed it online didn't want to come he didn't want to pay for it. He contacted me two weeks by email to ask me if it was true are we really divorced and when does he get to see the baby? I responded he should have showed up in court. Well Now since they contacted him wanting him to paysupport because I had got food stamps I went to court to drop it and agree I pay the state back and asked him there to sign the adoption papers he said no He has another little girl that 7 he hasn't seen or talked to in over 4 years but pays support and has had two more in the few years we have been separated and does not see or pay for one and makes the mom bring the other to him cause he lives in a pop up camper and has no car. He has told me he will kidnapher and so did his aunt everyone in his family but him has child neglect charges and domestice violance against them but him he hasn't been caught yet. I need to know with all this can I get through a stepparent adoption or Teminate his parental rights with all the things I have against him. He tells me it makes you less of a man to sign over parental rights. I tried letting him see her I really did but he left not me its not my fault he started a new life forgetting his past now he wants it back because he don't want to look bad to his family and friends.

There is a better than average possibility that you can get an involuntary TPR.

The fact that the stepdad has adopted your other son is a good sign. The instability of the father is another. But its certainly no slam dunk. I would strongly suggest hiring an attorney to prepare the adoption petition. An attorney can help you prepare for everything properly and greatly increase your chances.

I did hire an attorney on the 23rd of June. I placed the restraing order on him on the 15th of June for the fact he started trying to come get her right before child support court on the 18th of June he startd making threats through email on the 10th

On the 12th phone calls so for 3.5 years he's known how to get a hold of me and chose not too but I could not find him no where
