I am in dept with my financed vehicle. I really don't want to return it because I will probably still be responsible for the balance I owe. So I am thinking I should file bankruptcy would that affect me of having to return the car or would I be able to keep it.

So.. you want to skip out on paying for the vehicle... and still keep it?
Isn't going to happen... you pay for it or they reposess it and all of the negative financial reprecussions that go with it. It has a lien on it and the lien holder has every legal right to take back the vehicle if payments are not kept current. Bankprupcy doesn't let you keep anything financed by a secured loan (as in collateral) that is not paid for.
