Hi,

My ex had got an inheritance from his uncle for 2.3million dollars. He was also suppose
To give 2 of our daughters 100,000.00 each & our son 200,000.00.He didn't give the
Money to our children at all because his new wife said that they were not responsible
Enough to have that kind of money!! They are 30,24,22.Doesn't he have to pay
Taxes on that money? Thanks... Vamp50

The uncle's estate woud have paid the federal estate taxes. If there are inheritance taxes in your state he would be liable for that.

What do you mean he "was suppos[ed] to" pay those amounts to your children? Is that what the will says? If so, your children should immediately see an attorney in your jurisdiction.

If the will stated the children were to get the money, then you need to address this to probate.

If this was an unwritten request , he is not obligated to give them the money
