My sister died and was paying half the rent where we were staying, I could only pay my half because I wasn't prepared for her death. Now they want me out in 72 hours, the house is in Milwaukie Oregon. Do I really have to move all my stuff and me out in 72 hours?

What is the status of the eviction? You have to be legally served according to Oregon law.

Basically you get a 72 hour notice. If you do not pay the eviction papers must be filed against you. It's a very quick procedure in Oregon.

Here is how it works: How to Evict a Tenant in Oregon - Avvo.com (http://www.avvo.com/legal-guides/ugc/evicting-a-tenant-in-oregon-how-to-clear-out-the-tenant-from-hell)

What happens in 72 hours( this is a 3 day pay or quit notice), and you are not out, they file a eviction in court. So depending on how busy the courts are, they would throw you out in 1 1/2 week to 2 weeks.

The entire rent is due, not 1/2 of it
