A Man eats an apple and realizes how delicious it was. Another man sees this and had observed him eat the apple. The man who ate the apple speaks to some other men about how delicious the apple was and tells them there are more. The man who saw him eat the apple then collects all the apples from the tree for himself before the other men arrive and says to the other men “ There are no apples, this man lies.” The other men go to the tree and see that there are no apples and shun the man who ate the apple.
Q: Even though the man knows he ate an apple everyone believes he did not. Would you believe he ate an apple even though you did not see it?

No. People lie - I've read this scenario before. Isn't this a College Psychology 101 question?

A: The answer is in truth. In order to actually know if he had an apple or not both sides of the story must be investigated in depth, both physically and mentally. This must be done so as to avoid ignorance.

You would have to believe that first there is a apple, and even if you found a way to believe that, you would have to believe the other person not only saw one, but possessed it and then ate it.
Man, normally believes and expects the worst of others, esp when in a group, ( your story the people are in a group)
And does not disbelief actually grow knowledge, if we merely accepted what we are told, or even what we see, the world would still be flat.

Why isn't this on a discussion board? I don't see it as issues and causes.

I see it as a philosophical issue involving a type of fallacy.
Thanks!
