Hello to all of you wonderful people on askmehelpdesk.I have not been on here in a long time.I would like to thank all of you for all the advice, and help I have received with many questions on my autistic son.I have a new question today but it is regarding myself.Well,my hair.I am 26 years old.I have very badly damaged dry hair that falls out everyday.I have noticed my hair is also starting to thin.I would like to get a perm so maybe that would help myself confidence with my hair.It is so damaged and breaks off though that I am terrified that getting a perm would make all of it fall out completley! I have tried everything(except for shaving it all off!) to help it get somewhat healthy.Nothing at all works.I would like to get a perm though, but need some advice on if it would be a good idea or not.Once again thank you to all!!

How confident are you in your hairdresser? I'm not sure putting chemicals (a perm) on already damaged hair is a good idea. Have you tried various products to condition your hair - there are a TON of them available.

Unless I had total trust in my hairdresser (and there are some perms which are more gentle than others) I wouldn't even consider this.

I know there are no products to completley restore damaged hair.Keeping it trimmed up,and using weekly treatments would be the best until my hair is somewhat restored before getting it permed. What are some good products for helping restore it and making it stronge?Or even vitamins
