I am purchasing a new house where the seller has installed a European kitchen sink with a drain that is larger than the standard American size. What's the best way to install a disposal? Are there ready-made converter flanges available, or do we need to have one custom-made?

In the European Union, they do not allow garbage disposals to be used
Unless one of our experts has a better solution your best bet is to replace the sink with one with a standard type drain. Good luck, Tom

Thanks. This European kitchen sink has been installed in a house in the U.S. It's undermounted in a Caeserstone counter, with a unique, hard-to-replace tiled backsplash. Am trying to see if there are any options to replacing the sink, as it may require also replacing the counter and/or backsplash as well.

What's the size of the drain ? What's the brand name of the sink ?
