Some women do bleed in pregnancy and it's normal for them, but, any time you have bleeding during pregnancy, you need to get it checked by a doctor.

Are you having cramping? When was the last time there was blood?

I've had three pregnancies, the only time I bled was when I did miscarry. It started as spotting, just when I wiped, and that lasted for 2 weeks. The day I had the ultrasound to see if all was well, I started bleeding heavily with cramping.

You really need to see your doctor, and don't put it off. It could be that this is normal for you, or normal for this pregnancy, but you do need to find out. If you start bleeding heavily, filling a pad, then please get to the hospital. Miscarriage isn't always easy, you can hemorrhage, I did.

Let us know how it goes. I hope it all works out.

Bleeding doesn't automatically mean that you miscarried, but it is a symptom that should be checked by your doctor.

Yes, you should call your doctor. If you're only 5w it wouldn't have been amniotic fluid, but there is no way for us to tell you what it was.

I have bled during all three of my pregnancies. During two, I miscarried, during the last, my daughter's twin was lost and she was born premature.

You could be perfectly fine but you really must see a doctor ASAP to know for sure.

We realize that, and the only option you have is to see a doctor. We cannot tell you what's going on, only a doctor can.

Well let me start by thanking to both who replied to my question(s). I went to the hospital last night and after a pap and cervix test my cervix was fine and my uteris is enlarged, then after blood and urine lab test the dr came to conclusion that I had a miscarriage. After awhile of grieving then they decided to do an ultrasound to be sure... guess whose six weeks pregnant? ;)

That's great news. I'm so happy for you. I'm glad it all worked out.

Are you taking prenatal vitamins? If not, you should start. Also, you have to find an OBGYN if you don't already have one. Going to the hospital for an emergency is fine, but you need a regular doctor to help through the pregnancy. Prenatal care is very important.

I'm so glad it all worked out. :)
