What forms are needed for a mother to voluntarily relinquish her parental rights in FL in order to avoid paying child support to the grandparents who have raised the child since birth. The grandparents now have financial problems and have applied for AFDC. The mother and father were ordered to pay child support. This was fine with the father, but the mother, who is the daughter of the grandmother, came and got the child and refuses to let them even see her unless the provide the mother with a form to relinquish parental rights so she can avoid child support. The grandparents do not have a computer and have asked that my husband (an elder in the church they attend) and I aid them in getting the information they need to obtain the forms.

After that there are no papers unless the grandparents are adopting the child. If there is an adoption then its different.

There are no papers, a parent can not give up their rights to a child just to get out of child support
