In what units of measurement is electric power given in bill of industry?
Since residential electric bill is given in kWh, does it mean power factor is 1?
Do residential appliances have PF improvement arrangement in them? Where is PF improvement arrangement provided(residential and industrial)?

1. KWh is the unit you have to pay bills for both residential & industrial.
2. let me clear KWh, if you use 1KW of load for 1 hr, that means you have use 1KWh of power. Power factor is quite something else. Power factor 1 means, highest power is producing by the producer.
3. for both residential & industrial power supply, the producer or supplier arranges the power factor improver. This is none of your business as a user.

As a user you can do things to improve the power factor at your metering. Power factor capacitors are the most common method. If you have a building full of large motors you will end up with a low power factor. Some utilities will penalize for power factor below 80%.
