I am replacing my Payne 1/4 hp condenser motor with an A.O. Smith multi HP motor. I'm also replacing the capacitor (a round three prong piece) with an oval (two prong piece). In looking at the wiring diagram I'm supposed to connect the wires as follows: the two brown wires to the capacitor, black wire to "line", white wire to "line", green to ground. All this is good except I can't figure out how to wire the capacitor since now it only has two prongs instead of three. I know that at least one side is supposed to piggy back off the load so that it can receive power and that my compressor also uses this prong for power but do I connect everything else (the two brown wires from the fan and the other wire from the compressor) to the other side? Thanks for any assistance.

,, put the round 3 prong cap back in and rewire as it was except for the wires from the old fan motor, the new cap you bought with the new motor is for the new motor only,, the 2 brown wires from the motor one to each post of the cap, secure the cap and wires so they are not in danger of getting into the fan blades
