I was wondering if anybody knew where I should go to promote my eBay auction for a Douglas Van Howd painting I am selling. I just can't seem to find anybody interested in this auction on eBay so I'm trying to find a good way to promote it. I've had it up there for over a week now and so far no one has bid or even added it to their watch list. It's as if no one has noticed it at all. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Most auctions don't receive a whole lot of attention until the final 24 to 48 hours of bidding. Many art dealers don't like to bid on stuff off eBay unless it is authenticated and/or appraised. You can also use some of eBay's tools such as bold listing and gallery photos.

You could use some of the free ways to advertise on the Internet to promote it. Some of those sites on which to advertise will get better exposure than others.

If you'd like to know about the sites as well as how to word your ad the best so that it gets the most exposure, please let me know on this thread.
